Integrating the NavStock Server

The NavStock Server easily integrates into your existing data flows and online solutions. The hosted ASP model means an authorised client (using your existing user interface) simply supplies an XML request via the Internet for real-time access to the NavStock server.

The NavStock Server is composed of three key components:

• A highly accurate Directional Engine
• A User Profiling Engine
• A high quality Reporting Engine

Each of these components are tightly integrated, forming an advanced automated reporting system.

Directional Engine

The purpose of the Directional Engine is to accurately know the direction of any item contained within it. This directional information can then be combined with other elements to produce content-rich reports.
The Directional Engine is very unique. It has been designed not to be reliant on any particular static element and is capable of adapting to changing conditions. More importantly, it is consistent across Data Types (Stock, Currency, Index etc.), Market Conditions (Bull or Bear), Exchanges (NYSE, ASX etc.), Volatility, Numerical Range and Time Frame Selection. The results are also as it happens i.e. there is no lag in the detection of changes in direction. The information is easy to access and unambiguous.

The accuracy is maintained by creating a unique model for every item. Creating individual models means that there is no interdependency between any of the items, so the results produced strictly relate to the original source. The creation and running of the models is an automatic procedure and does not require any input from the user.

Once the models have been created, immediate results can be obtained by feeding the platform live data. The processing of each item is very quick and the results are stored as state information, which is then used by the Reporting Engine to generate custom reports.

User Profiling Engine

The User Profiling Engine is used to enhance your clients experience. The NavStock Server can search for movement in stocks based on a clients interest criterion. If movement is detected in those stocks, detailed reports can be instantly generated. This allows your client to review these stocks without having to continually scan the market. None of this user profiling data is stored by NavStock, it is simply used at the time of report generation, and then immediately removed from the system.

Reporting Engine

The Reporting Engine can tailor the level of information that is delivered and the format that it is delivered in. At the most basic level, directional information can be obtained about particular stocks, and packed into an XML data block. At the other end of the scale, richly formatted Adobe Acrobat PDF files are emailed, containing all price information, charts, fundamental data and any news or analyst reports that might be relevant to the situation. All the reports are generated in real-time. No longer does a client have to wait every quarter for a report, instead they can be sent one when the need arises.
